Learning and applying decoding and comprehension skills to reading and writing, while developing their understanding that reading conveys meaning for enjoyment, understanding and communicating.
Math
Develop understanding of whole number relationships and place value, strategies for addition and subtraction within 20, understanding of linear measurement and units of measure, and the ability to reason with mathematical concepts.
Science
Learning and applying fundamental scientific principles in physical, earth, and life science that will enable them to become responsible stewards of their world.
Social Studies
Develop their understanding of basic concepts and skills in civics, economics, geography, and history.
